i went to the orthodontits recently and they put a rubber band like thing in my mouth that attatches the top brace to the bottom
whats the purpose of this apart from making your teeth hurt!?!?

It is put in place to align the jaw (say, you had an overbite they would place them on so that it would align the jaw to your bottom jaw line!.)

Basically they are trying to guide the tooh into its appropriate position!. orthodontics at times produces discomformto bc the teeth are moving, So the bone around the teeth are remodiling as the teeth gradually move!. But eventually you will grow accustom to the sensation and no longer notice it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
