just wanted to ask about that appliance put in called a gate for thumb suckers its a thing tht helps ppl stop sucking there thumbs well how can eat and talk if u have it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You just learn how and where to put your tongue in your mouth while it is in!. It will hurt and probably be irritating, but you just learn to eat and talk with it!. The best thing about the beast is that you will keep your thumb out of your mouth!

Its basically like a plate that your have on the roof of your mouth similar to a retainer - quite expensive and you may need to get braces prior to getting it as well!. Or there's a thumb guard that you wear on your hand that is suppose to make it feel uncomfortable!. BTW you learn to speak with it in but you remove it to eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
