Crumpling Pink Tooth!!!!! HELP.?!

Question: Crumpling Pink Tooth!!!!! HELP!.!?
My step daughter does not brush her teeth twice a day, and sometimes, she doesn't even brush them at all!. What concerns me is one of her teeth!. It is brittle, and instead of being a solid tooth, it's a hollow tooth, and inside, its gums that have filled it in, the outside layer of the tooth is so thin, its pink because of the gum forming into it!!

One day as she was eating, she began picking her tooth, and then a little triangle of the tooth fell off!! So i can see a little where the gums are!

This girl is 12, and I only just realized her brushing and flossing habits are horrible! What can I do about her teeth!!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nice, Nikki!.
Take her unclean teeth to the dentist, and while your there, get her a book on teeth!. You know, she really is irresponsible! !.!.!.!.meanie!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm surprised it doesn't hurt!. But it sounds like something other than lack of brushing or flossing!. Usually that just causes decay!. It sounds like she has some sort of calcium deficiency, or maybe something hereditary that's causing the enamel to break down!. Take her to a dentist to get a check up, because everyone's different!. He or she should recommend a plan to put her on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Perhaps it is still a baby tooth that is falling out and rotting away and the new tooth is growing in!. If it was rotting out/ cavity, she would have some type of pain I would guess and complain about it!. Take a better look at it and if you aren't sure, make a dental appointment and get it checked!. You don't want her to get an abscessed tooth!. It cost way more money when it is too late to do anything about it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

First, take her to the dentist!. Get this problem fixed!. Make sure the dentists teaches her how to properly brush her teeth!. Then, explain to her the importance of brushing her teeth!. Show her some pics of rotted teeth and tell her that's what will happen to hers if she doesn't take care of them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if her teeth are this brittle and in this poor of a condition, it is less likely due to the way she cares for them (though this does not help) than it is due to dietary deficiencies!.

My brother never took care of his teeth and never had cavities or problems with his teeth (bad breath and gross looking teeth yes, but brittle, decaying teeth, not yet anyway)

My daughter, on the other hand, has celiac and went undiagnosed for 8 years!. She has always taken great care of her teeth, brushing even after eating a small snack!. Because of her undiagnosed health problem, her body was unable to absorb the vitamins and minerals it needed to grow and be strong, her teeth suffered because of lack of nutrients!. She wound up with several fillings and a root canal before she was 13!.

She has since been diagnosed and is now extremely healthy and at 15 she no longer has difficulties with her teeth!.

I would suggest getting her to the dentist as soon as possible and yes, encourage better dental hygiene- but I would also get her tested for food allergies and intolerances and see if there is a reason her body is not able ot absorb the necessary nutrients for strong teeth nad bones - as that is more likely the root cause!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
