Answers:
Don't worry it really doesn't hurt that bad!.
I have been in the same situation!.
The dentist or doctors will have you under anesthetics so you won't feel any pain at all, the most you'll feel is a tiny prick!. I promise
Also I don't recomend eating or drinking anything for awhile once it is done, you won't be hungry for awhile

It'll all be fine :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Right, firstly

+ General anesthesia (where they put you to sleep)

+ Loca anesthetic (where they just numb the area!. Usually done in dentists office)!.

Which are you having!?

Best things to eat/drink after extractions!.

+ Never eat or drink until after the anesthetic has completely worn off - for local anesthetic it's around 2/3 hours!.

+ You probably wont feel like eating much or drinking anything after the extractions, as there will be a fair amount of bleeding to deal with!. (Unless you're going under general anesthetic and having them done all at once!. usually they'll stitch those ones up!. If you're having just local anesthetic they dont' stitch you up)!.
Bleeding usually lasts for up to 24 hours, and you must bite down on gauze for 30-40 minutes at a time if the blood flow is great, and it will help create a 'clot' which is to STAY IN THE EXTRACTION HOLE! Do not pull it out!.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS:

+ Panadol/tylenol or ibeprofuen- normal, over the counter pain killers are enough!. Take two just before the anesthetic is due to wear off, so you dont' have to wait for them to work!.

+ DO NOT SUCK OR RINSE OR SPIT for 72 hours!.

+ Do NOT use a straw for 72 hours

+ Do not smoke for 72 hours

+ Do not rinse harshly for the first 48 hours

+ Do not place any fingers, food items, do not poke any of the extraction sites

+ When you lay down, elevate your head above your heart level, (two pillows stacked will work)!. This will help slow the bleeding!.

+ When you go to sleep, make sure you stack the pillows (if within the first 24 hours), and place a towel, or cloth underneath (you may experience bleeding even during sleep!.

+ No hot foods for first 72 hours

Extractions which are done under local anesthetic don't hurt at all!. You wont feel a thing!.
if you're nervous- on the day, ask for Nitrous Oxide (happy gas/laughing gas)!. It wont send you to sleep, but it helps you relax!. They will give you the Nitrous Oxide before they inject the local anesthetic!.

The dentist will recommend taking normal pain killers after the extractions- just before the anesthetic is due to wear off, but personally- I didn't have to take any!.
I had no pain at all!.

I have had a root canal done lately on my 3rd Molar tooth (Wisdom tooth) !. Everyone said it would be painful!. I went to the Dentist and after about 20 min!. I was numbed up and i was ready to do it!.!.!. 5 min!. later, i didn't feel a thing!.

It was the least painful thing in my life

You should have nothing to worry about!.

OK, First off!. Permanent teeth would hurt!.!.!. if they don't numb your teeth!. But they will, so that question is answered!.!.!.

Next, try ice cream or pop sickles!. Not for the pain (because there wont be any) , But because you shouldn't eat!. Your mouth will be numb, so the dentist will even tell you, don't eat!!!!! I said DON'T EAT!!!!!!!!!!! Well, until the numbness wears away!. If you eat, well 1 you wont taist it because your taist buds will be numb, and 2 , you might bite a hole in your lip!. Im not even joking!.!.!. It happened to my friend!.!.!.

I hope this has been a help to you!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Simmer down, sugar!. I had to have 4 teeth pulled when I had my braces put on, too!. Extracted teeth hurt the same no matter if they are temporary or permanent!. Drink room temperature liquids until you can tolerate colder or warmer drinks (don't use straws for a while)!. Eat soft foods like eggs, mashed potatoes and soups!. Rinse after each meal and after anything you drink!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the actual pulling of the teeth you will not feel!. However, the after effect can be horendous!. To make certain you heal quickly and less painfully, DO NOT SUCK IN! like with a straw or sipping tea or off of a spoon!.!.!.it could cause a dry socket!.!.I have had a dry socket and it hurts worse than child birth!.!.!.that's a promise!. You will feel pain and discomfort after!.!.just follow their rules for eating and rinsing and remember to NOT SUCK IN!!! If you feel you can not stand the pain after a day or two you can ask for a "clove packet"!. It is a very strong spice that they soak teeny tiny pieces of gauze in and it takes away the pain INSTANTLY!!! NO KIDDING, INSTANTLY!!! If you have to use it be mindful that you may gag a bit when it first drips down your throat!.!.!.but after that it's like heaven!. NO PAIN KILLER ON EARTH will help you except maybe morphine if you develop a dry socket or an opening that will not heal, except natural cloves!. It's not a drug, it's a spice!! So if in excruciating pain ask for the cloves not the drugs!!!
But generally, you should be fine as long as you do not SUCK in!!!
good luck!

You shouldn't feel any pain until the novocaine wears off!. Then I suggest you take some Motrin or Tylenol to help with the pain!. When I had 3 teeth removed I used Motrin (400 mg) and ate lukewarm soup!. I couldn't eat right away so the soup was a big help!. It took 3-4 days before the pain was gone!. I strongly suggest that you keep air from getting into your teeth!. That is EXTREMELY painful!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suspect its the premolars that are being removed!. If you are under 24 years of age the bone surrounded it is not as "hard " as someone who is over 24!. So they tend to come out easier!. But even if you are over 24 the premolar is a relatively easy tooth to get out!. I would not worry some much!. It fairly routine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
