i have 14 cavities, and i'n going to get a root canal for my bottom right tooth and braces i just want to know what exactly do they do when they perform a root canal, what is a crown and a fill and if there is anything i could do to ease the pain also if the root canal pulls out my toothWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sound like your nervous and need a lot of work speak to your dentist regarding sedation, it will relax you during the treatment!.
A root canal is basically a filling on the inside of a tooth, just it takes a bit longer!. What they do is they look for the chamber and canal where the nerve hangs out, once they find it they remove it, and then with a rotary dril they shape the inside of the canal so that it is more symetrical, they give it a cone shape so that it is easier to fill!. Once it has a cone shape they fill it in with a material that will replace your nerve!.
They then put a core (which is means a filling) they prep the tooth for a crown (a cap) A crown is needed after a root canal bc the teeth if left uncapped after a root canal become very brittle and crack easily
as for the cavities they will get filling and I suspect you already know what a filling is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A root canal is a procedure were the dentist drills into your tooth, and removes tissue(dental pulp) from within your tooth, the tooth is filled will rubber and then crowned with a metal cap, these caps can be metallic, gold, or I think they can be made to be tooth colored!. I don't know what you could do for the pain besides maybe taking some pain relievers!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
