take to put on!?
I asked this question previously but now im getting and more scared because im getting them soon, 5th november and im having my operation and im even scared-er for that!.

It took my dentist only half an hour :)
and it doesn't hurt at all until a few hours after, when the first movement starts to take place because your teeth move within the first couple of days and then for the rest of the time until your next appointment it secures the position of your teeth until they tighten it again and they move a bit more, but trust me as soon as you have your braces on eat as much as you possibly can because you won't be able to eat for the next few days,
and i suggest while you're in pain, live off of these :
soup (if you like it)
milkshake
chocolate (not to chew, just to let it melt in your mouth)
yoghurts
and plenty of water :)

When I got my braces I was scared too, but when they called me I went in and it took only 10-20 minutes!. I was painless!.!.I didn't even feel anything!.!.the only part of the whole "getting braces" process that hurt worse to me was the spacers, but when u get braces put on it dnt hurt, but once you start going and getting them tightened!.!.that's a little pain!.!.!.!.good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
they don't take hours!!!!
sometimes they do it in stages!. !. !. like put the caps on first- but if they are doing in one hit - it WONT take hours - mine took about 20minutes and they are nothing to worry about - they ache a little a first but you get used to it!.

An hour and a half to two hours!.
Don't worry, it'll so be worth it in the end, and in a few years you won't even remember what it was like to have braces!.

i had top and bottom braces
and they took 2 1/2 hours to get on
