You can also take 600 mg of an Ibuprofen such as Advil or Motrin every six hours, this works by reducing the inflammation and swelling which is what causes most of the pain you are experiencing!. About 2 hours after taking the Ibuprofen, you can then take 400-600 mg of Tylenol, this will also work as an analgesic, just don't take them together as they may upset your stomach!. You can alternate with these and continue taking your prescribed antibiotic and pain medication as directed!. Also use some warm salt water rinses as many times a day as you can to help reduce the bacteria and soothe the tissue!. The Orajel won't do a lot of good since it is a temporary topical anesthetic!. Try to prop up on a few pillows to keep the throbbing down to a minimum!. If you don't have any relief by tomorrow, I would suggest you call your dentist so they can get you in to open the tooth earlier!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
