Answers:
You can change them once or twice a day!. I always advised changing them when you swish or brush through out the day, so you should change them at least two or three times in one day, you can do more if you like but it's not necessary!. Keep in mind that the tighter the elastics, the better your braces are working!. Wearing elastics that are worn out from being stretched all day, doesn't apply any pressure to your teeth, so it basically has stopped working!. Try to always keep tight elastics in place so they do their job well which will move your teeth faster and get you out of braces sooner too!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ah, I remember those!.!.!. I HATED those!. lol Make sure you wear them though!.!. seriously!. I didn't wear mine as much as I needed to!. I had braces for 6 years too!. I'm sure I would've gotten them off sooner if I would've followed instructions!. I got in trouble once because I was putting a rubber band in my braces!.!. and the rubber band shot across the class room!. LOL It was pretty funny!.
But anyways, I changed mine at meals and when I went to bed!. If you wear them too long then they will lose their elasticity!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to take them out and replace them after every meal and then at bed time and in the morning- reason being that I got given so many of them and after a while they lose their elasticity which means that they aren't pulling on the teeth so much!. The less pull on the teeth the longer it will be before your jaw and teeth are correct and you can stop using the pesky things! Www@Answer-Health@Com

My daughter has them and she takes hers out at night and new in the morning!.

Follow the instructions your orthodontist gave you , they should have told you how to wear them if not give them a ring and double check!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
