Im getting braces soon and i have a few questions:
~How much do they hurt after they are on!?
~Should i take advil before they get put on!?
~What color or colors should i get for the first time!?

When I had braces they pretty much hurt right after they connect the wires to the brackets!. They will hurt for about 3 days to a week until you adjust!.
Yes you should take pain killers, you'll need it!.

When i first got braces at first it felt very uncomfortable because its an odd feeling on your teeth, but within days it felt back to normal like they weren't even there!. If you want to take advil that's your choice if you are not good with pain!. There are a few choices with the colours on the bottom you have to get a silver bracket but you can get any coloured band (the band is the colour around the bracket to keep anything from getting underneath them) but on the top you don't just have a choice of the normal silver you can also get clear brackets which are not as noticeable but cost a bit more (i got these and people didn't even realize i had them) !.After a few days once you get the braces on the pain goes away but you have to get them tightened every 4 weeks or so and again this will hurt for a few days but in the long run it worth it!. ok i havent had braces before but my sister had them on for 2 years!.

* Dont take advil or anything like that before you get them on because like i said before, they dont hurt when you first put them on!. But, when they start to hurt then you can take it!.
*and any color! what are your two favorite colors!? Get those!

Hey i've had braces for 2 years now and so ill tell you through my experiance

Mine hurt for about a week to a week and a half!. It also depends if your getting a expander or not!.(i had one)
If you feel the need to, i didnt take tylenol or any pain reliever before i got my braces on!.
I liked the blue and black bands because they made my teeth look whiter(i dont recommend yellow, orange or white bands)Www@Answer-Health@Com

For me at first they didn't hurt!. They only hurt when I go back and get them tightened!. I took advil before they got put on just in case!. Also, make sure your lips aren't chapped!. They stretch your mouth a lot and if your lips were chap then they would hurt!. Get whatever color or colors are your favorite!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
-they usually hurt the next day and i would suggest skipping school
just so you don't have to worry about the pain while in school

after they are put on ur goin to have to take some type of pain medicine and advil is their prime choice 2 use
dont take advil before they get put on, that's really not goin 2 help!.!.!.trust me lol
