Question: I have braces, my teeth hurt like no other, what should I do!?
I have had them for a few months but today they started hurting really bad!
Oh and Amy- don't bother to respond to this okay!? And no, I am not a celebrity, my friend did that as a prank!. And yes, Amy, I HAVE A FRIEND!.

You do need to consult with your orthodontist!.!.!. although I don't know why someone has recommended penicillin!. That's an antibiotic, and won't help you unless you have an infection!. An over the counter painkiller containing paracetamol may provide temporary relief until you can see a professional, or if your gums are inflamed try one containing aspirin!. You could also try pain relieving gel!.!.!. the kind used for babies when they are teething, and try rinsing your mouth out occasionally with very mild salt water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

have you just started with a spacer or a band that pulls them together!? use ice or heat, 10 mintues on, 20 off, and two aleve, tylenol or advil!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just take some Advil or some kind of pain reliever!.
It's normal to have on and off pain with braces!.

Btw it's a great thing that your teeth hurt because that means your teeth are moving!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
