Oh you'll be fine it usualy takes like 3 years for an untreated tooth to get infected!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A small cavity can become a root canal in six months or less, but this depends on several factors!.

Initially the cavity for most starts in the enamel!. The enamel is very tough and takes a lot before it breaks down, but once it breaks through the enamel into the next layer of the tooth called denitin the cavity will spread like gasoline thrown onto a fire

Other factors that play a role is the person oral hygine!. Good hygine with a cavit only in enamel means slow progression

Good hygine but the cavity has reached the dentin mena fast progression!.

Poor hygine with the cavity only in enamel means fast progression!.
Poor hygeine with cavity in the dentin means fast progression!.

If the cavity starts on the root it can progress fast!.

Cavities are caused by poor brushing, for the most part!. If you miss a spot often, you develop tartar - the stuff they have to scrape off!. Tartar can eat at your teeth, so it is important to keep the plaque off (cause that becomes tartar after a little bit)!. After you brush and floss, have a look and see if there is any white gooey stuff around your gums or between your teeth!. Brush again and try to get that!.

If you keep the cavity clean, it shouldn't get any worse!. Most people can go for many years with a cavity not getting any worse, though I don't reccomend this! Some cavities are so shallow they don't need to numb your mouth at all, and some go down enough that the root of the tooth is touching the rotted part!. Bacteria can get in a cavity, so you want to make sure you go to the appointment your parents make for you!. Having teeth worked on might not be very pleasant, but having a cavity get infected is a lot worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
