I hate my retainer! Can I use my last invisalign tray instead?!

Question: I hate my retainer! Can I use my last invisalign tray instead!?
My ortho gave me a "partial retainer" (one side is missing where the braces are) to keep the other teeth from moving while the 3 braces on 3 of my teeth do their work!. But it is much bulkier than all my previous invisalign trays and seems kinda bent caus it doesn't fit properly (if the front teeth are in, there is a space between my molar and the retainer, and if I close the space by biting down, a space is created between my front teeth and the retainer!)!. All my teeth are sore because of this misfit!. Why wouldn't it fit it was molded from my teeth!?!

I cut my last invisalign tray so that it only touches the teeth that don't have braces!.!.!. CAN I JUST USE THAT INSTEAD OF THE RETAINER!?

It's a bit tight cuz I think the retainer messed up my teeth already (been four days) but it still fits!.!.!. I wouldn't hurt my teeth somehow if I used it instead would I!?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much for reading!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
your last aligner can act as a temporary retainer!. so yes you can use your last aligner as a temporary retainer!. Go back to the dentist and have a new mold and retainer made!. If they tool an alginate impression its possible for the aginate to shrink before it was poured and hece the reaitner does not fit well, also its pissible you move slightly during the impression but not enough for it to be noticable by the eye but eougn to make the retainer fit wierd!.

go back to your ortho!. DO NOT try to fix it yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
