I'm getting a cavity filled tomorrow, will it hurt?!

Question: I'm getting a cavity filled tomorrow, will it hurt!?
I'm getting a cavity filled tomorrow at 2:30 PM, and I'm terrified!. The dentist said that it was a very tiny cavity, and they probably wouldn't have to use Novocaine and they wouldn't have to drill, either!. Is this just talk to calm me down, or can there be a cavity so small that neither Novocaine or drilling is necessary!?

I had four teeth pulled about 2 and a half years ago, and that was not a pleasant experience!. I'm bringing my iPod along to listen to while it's being done, but I'm still nervous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes if the cavity is so small, they do not have to use Novocaine!. And that is great! You caught it early!. You should just feel a little pressure on the tooth, and sometimes it can feel hot or cold!. If you are uncomfortable at all, just ask the dentist!. he can always numb you up!. You might ask if your dentist has nitrous oxide (laughing gas) because this can be quite helpful if you are nervous!. Just relax!.!.!.it will be so much easier than you think!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well it definitely won't feel great, but the pain won't be absolutely terrible either!. If it's small enough, then you will be fine, they will just fill up the hole!. If your that worried about it hurting, I'm sure if you ask the they will give you Novocaine just in case!.

And the pain will be no where near like getting your teeth pulled!. Good Luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are the paying customer!. If you feel uncomfortable at any time and want the novocaine, simply request it, the dentist shouldn't have a problem!.

No - the cavity won't hurt!.

I had a root canal done recently, don't worry, the dentist will take care of you and make sure you experience no pain (or very little, tolerable pain)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My dentist uses a water laser instead of a drill and I get gas instead of a shot!. It doesn't doesn't hurt or take long either!. When it's over the gas wears off in a few minutes and you don't have to worry about drooling all over!. I recommend it!.
