Why do British people have bad teeth?!

Question: Why do British people have bad teeth!?
Also, since Australians are descended from British convicts, do they have bad teeth as well!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
British people do not smile enough, and thus, their teeth do not receive enough Vitamin D!. Perhaps they are still bitter about losing America as a colony!. Also, because Australia is an island, the amount of sea salt in the air has corroded their already genetically fragile teeth, therefore leading to decay and general unsightliness!. Hmm!. That's not really a nice thing to say, and it's a harsh generalization, but it's often true!.
I have heard that it is because most English people are related to each other, as in 4th, 5th, or 6th cousins, because England was an isolated island for so long and thus there was a lot of intermarriage!. That would indeed result in genetic problems with teeth!.!.!. so it seems like a pretty legitimate answer!.

But that's not to say it's verified, and not to say that all British people have bad teeth!. My sister's husband and his family are from London and their teeth are perfectly fine!. So steer clear of generalizations/stereotypes!

Regarding the Aussies: it's likely that they share many traits with British people, since Australia is a British colony, but it's not really possible to say that they have the exact same problem with teeth!. The same can be said about Hong Kong-- just because it's a British colony doesn't mean its residents have bad teeth, but it could be assumed to some extent due to regional/colonial backgrounds!.

I hope that helped!. And I don't mean to offend anyone-- I love the Brits and my sister and her husband/kids are residents of Britain!. So I think you guys are great :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

that's a little raciest
everyone used to have bad teeth but it may have been worse in Britain for a few reason's
fear of plague contaminated water
old wives tales
hygen not seen as priorities because no one knew it was connected to ones health
money
no one had created tooth paste! (allthough they did have difrent forms of it)Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's just stereotyping =_=
But I read that in old England, sugar or sweets were expensive, so only the noble people could afford such luxuries!. This by ingesting a lot of sugar, the tooth decay that resulted was used as a status symbol in their society!. Thus peasants would usually use coal to blacken their teeth to seem "rich"

!.!.!. just a theory ^^Www@Answer-Health@Com

its all negative stereotypes!. the rumor originated due to the fact they didnt have dentist when they moved into america!. famous people like george wahsington, who was british like evryone else around there, had to use fake teeth made rfrom wood because they didnt know about proper health back then!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
