Your gums might need time to adjust to flossing!. Just make sure not to brush and floss hard so as to tear or damage your teeth and gums!. Use mouthwash as well to avoid bacteria from entering the bleeding gums!. Keep up with proper oral hygiene and healthy lifestyle to avoid gum disease and other dental threats!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Slight bleeding is normal since you haven't floss in a while, but if excessive bleeding continues it could be many different medical illnesses!. Example: gingivitis (gum disease) or maybe a low platelet count in your blood; which means you have a decrease ability to clot when bleeding occurs!. Have you taken aspirin or NSAIDs lately, because their components thin out the blood!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bleeding gum upon flossing is an early sign of inflammation!.
You need to carry on brushing and flossing and the bleeding will stop eventually!.

Use of mouth wash is also recommended!.
You can also go to the dental office and ask for scaling/polishing!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
