If you have read any of my previous post, you will see that cosmetic dentistry carries a lot of longe term effect that many people do not consider and regret in the future!. I will tell you right now braces is the way to go if you want your front teth pushed foward!. One reason is that it is more conservative, no choppin of the tooth!. I wonder if the general dentist ar epushing the porcelain just with money in mind and since most general dentist dont do braces so kep that in mind!.

Here is wha I want my patients to understand before they do any cosmetic work, if they nderstand this and are okay with it then I will proced if they have doubts I will not start any cosmetic work on them!.

If you get porcelain crown you have o realize that there will be a mistmatch in you case!. Since you will have two porcelain crowns and the natural teeth next to it!. depending on the type of light (flourecent , sunligt , candalescent) the teeth will match or not!. that is they may match under sunlight but they wont match under indoor light!. the only way to avoid this is by capping 4 more teeth minimum (at this point it will be costing you more than the braces!. Also porcelain crowns or veneers have a life span of 3 to 5 years, so they will need replacing in the future and you will have to pay for them, so if you got say only two of them done, by the second round you would have paid more than the braces had you gotten them ( this is only too teeth remember I told you that for it to look right you have to do a minimum of 6, so if you did six again you could have gotten braces for three different people) And this process continues for the rest of your life!. Also everytime you get a new cap more natural tooth structure needs to be removed so everytime they put a drill to your tooth you get that much closer to the nerve and therefore tha much closer to a root canal or an extracion!. there are man more things to consider but this alone is a lot!. If you are okay with the consequences of cosmetics then go ahead with it!. otherwise do the braces!.

I know it sounds bad what I wrote but I never do cosmetic work until the ptient realizes what is all involved, i dont want them to ever say had I known that I would never had done it!.

I would kind of lean more towards getting braces, just because it's the difference between correcting the problem and just covering it up!. Also, if your teeth look similar to the ones in the picture, you could probably even get those clear retainer type braces (invisalign, right!?) and then wouldn't have to deal with the train tracks look!. Apparently they work best on teeth that are only a little crooked, so they might be good for you!.

So some solid research, talk to people with crowns, see how they like them!.!. it's a really big decision, so make sure you;rewell-informed!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
