I swallowed my bracket?!

Question: I swallowed my bracket!?
One of my braces brackets came loose last night ,
and I accidentally swallowed it !.
There is quite a bit of wire sticking out where the bracket was ( back left side, top teeth)
Well I have a orthodontist app Thursday, can't do it any sooner!.
Will everything be ok till then!?
Could I trim my own wires!?, because they hurt pretty bad!.
And my teeth also feel as they have shifted a bit on my left side!.

Thanks a bunch!.

BTW has anyone else ever done that!?

Answers:
Swallowing a small bracket isn't going to harm you, so don't worry about that!
Don't trim the wire yourself!. For one thing, you probably won't be able to do it anyway and you don't wanna make it any worse than it already is!.
Try and get an emergency appointment, but if that's not possible, try not to touch that area!. When I had braces, that happened to me a couple of times and I made sure to eat on the other side and if it was really painful, I'd have soup!. It's only a few more days, so try and stick it out if you can't get an emergency appointment!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i've pulled off brackets, but i've never actually swallowed one!. You will probably be fine, because it's really small anyway!. If you wanna try to cut the wire yourself, well good luck cos i've tried to do that and i can't find anything that cuts the damn wire!! =) I don't think that your teeth will move that much, so if it hurts I would just take a painkiller and you'll be fine =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont touch the wire!. just put some wax on it and everything should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
