Answers:
No, spacers are not necessary for Invisalign!. After your initial exam you will have an additional set of impressions taken with a hydrocolloid material, The impressions are sent to the Invisalign facility with special instructions from your orthodontist!. ln the laboratory the impressions are poured into models and using a special computer program they enter digital information so that the computer can calculate how the teeth will look every 2 weeks during treatment!. Each stage is then reproduced into models that show the teeth and how they will look at each particular stage and then special aligners are made to each one!. The aligners look like clear plastic trays and are removable and clear so they are not noticeable!. The plastic they use is about 1/2 mm thick!.

You see the orthodontist every 2 weeks!. At each appointment you will get an aligner that was specifically made for the teeth to move into the positions that will lead to the next stage!. So at each stage the teeth become straighter and closer to the end result!.

Sometimes the orthodontist has to add "buttons" of a composite-like material to a tooth that is at a difficult angle to move, for instance if it needs vertical movement rather than horizontal!. The aligner has an indentation that matches up with the "button" on the tooth to facilitate its movement!.

Invisalign treatment depends heavily on patient cooperation!. it takes discipline to wear the aligners faithfully, but you will have the advantage of easier cleaning and virtually invisible braces ! No spacers will be necessary because no permanent bands are being placed!. good luck with your treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
