How much do they get paid!? I live in toronto by the way!.
I want to be a dentist but do you think I should work part time as a dental assistant while in school!? Good idea or bad!?

I'm not sure how schools are up there, but I know in Florida, dental school takes up a LOT of time, and you really don't have time to have a job while in school!. Dentists do make good money, but they also acquire a large school loan (when I was looking to go to dental school I would have had to take out a $250,000 loan and that was like 4 years ago)!. If you are just looking to make money, become a hygienist, but the work is very repetitive!. Dental assisting is pretty much a dead end job!. The money isn't great, and there is very little room to move up!. Sorry to be blunt, I know some people aren't going to like my answer!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
It takes a long time to go to school for a dentist and I think that it would be hard to go to school and work as an assistant especially in the end!. I am a dental assistant now and it doesnt pay well but its ok!.It can range from 10 to 20 dollars an hour!. You dont have to go to school to be an assistant either some places will do on the job training!. Maybe you should try for a hygienist!. They get payed really good and the hours are great!. They usually get payed anywhere from 40 to 60 dollars an hour!. And obviously a dentist will get payed good there a freakin doctor but you would have to go to school for like 6-8 years!. Where a hygienist has to go for only 2-4!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
are you a dental assistant now!? you have to go to school to be a dental assistant!. You can't just work as one!. I'm an assistant right now just outside of toronto!. Assistants don't get paid a whole lot!.
Dentist don't get paid hourly they get paid on salary and what they do in a day!. so it all depends!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

They get paid very well!!!!!!It's a good idea to workas an assistant so you can get a feel for the job!.
