How do they implant new teeth?!

Question: How do they implant new teeth!?
Just curious!. How do they actually do this tooth implant!? Will the old tooth be taken off and replaced by a new tooth!? Or, do they still keep the old tooth exactly where it is and cover it with some cool looking chemical thing to make it look better!? What are the conditions to have a tooth implant anyway!? Answers:
A dental implant is placed in your gum in the area where a tooth used to be!. A tooth is extracted around 4 months prior to getting an implant!. Dental implants typically fail if the patient is diabetic or a smoker!. An implant is placed and given time for the bone to grow around the implant to hold in place!. A few months after that, a flat metal looking thing called a healing cap is removed and an abutment is placed on!. The dentist will make a crown for this and place all that back on when the crown is completed!. That's all there is to it!. The time can be up to a year from the start of extractions to the final placement of the crown!.
