Depending on the office, your responsibilities may include: answering phones, scheduling patients, greeting and dismissing patients!. pulling charts, learning all sorts of financial and insurance stuff that have weird terms like "super-bill" "pre-d" "walk-out" "and "ledger card" (Terms which I couldn't even begin to understand!.)
If the office is busy you may be doing 3 or more tasks at one time!. So the ability to multitask and prioritize is very important!.
It also helps to have some knowledge of dental procedures so you can answer basic patient questions without relying on the doctor!.
