Question: I have "tongue plaque" any a advice!?
does any one have any knowledge of a certain yellowish white "plaque build up on the tongue"!. is this a vitamin deficiency, or a bacterial infection of some sort!? i have to brush it off every night, and sometimes in the mid day!. i was wearing braces for about 3 years, got em off last week, the tongue plaque has not gotten any better sense then!. my bad breath has gotten a little better though!. im drinking a fair amount of plane water to see if that helps, but one problem this tongue thing is that when i drink water i can taste whats on my tongue!. is it just an immune deficiency!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have not heard of a tongue plaque condition, usually bacteria on the tongue is caused by dry mouth, certain medications can have this effect!. The PH in your saliva may be high as well!. There are oxygenating toothpastes and rinses that help with bacterial buildup (dr!.katz is one i have heard of and tried that i would recommend)!. A tongue scraper actually works better than brushing with a toothbrush!. Pay attention to you diet as well to make sure you eat foods that cleanse your palate such as fruits and veggies!. Yogurt is great for balancing PH levels as well!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
