How long until I get my braces off?!

Question: How long until I get my braces off!?

I got my braces May 22nd, 2008!. Monday night i got my power chains, NiTi's (type of archwire) and my elastc, on my left side!.
I am supposed to have my braces for 2!.5 years, but i read online that when you get your NiTi's this means your teeth are pretty straight!.
Is this true!? and how long do you think i'll have my braces on for!?

If you do everything they ask you to do, wear rubber bands if requested, and your teeth dont get messed up at all with an injury, they should be able to take them off within a year, or a year an half from when you got them on!. I dont wear my rubber bands and i have had them on for 2!.5 years already, and they always complain that it just makes everything go slower without me wearing my rubber bands!.

Well thats the adverage time lenth that every is supposed to wear there braces but you might want to check its not likely that they will come off sooner it all depends on your teeth and how bad they are!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
