i just got mine removed yesterday and the only complaint i have is the swelling!. i had two on the top removed (i didn't have any bottom ones) and he said they were pretty high up!. i had iv sedation and i don't even remember falling asleep!. when i woke up my eyes were still closed so i jut laid there for a few minutes so i could wake up!. when i opened my eyes i was fully awake with no pain! one side of my face was completely numb because i also had a dental implant placed on the bottom of that same side!. i was fully awake when i left and got a smoothie at jamba juice (yummy!) so i could take a pain pill!. and i never had any real pain, just a little discomfort!. even when i woke up in the morning, my pain was completely bearable, and i just ate right away so i could take another pain pill!. just remember to take the pain meds BEFORE the numbing wears off! you'll be sorry if you don't, hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had mine done about 10 years ago, they were taken out on a Thursday, I spent Friday, Sat and Sun recovering and was fine and back to school by Monday- and I had all 4 of them taken out at once!. I was asleep the whole time and didn't feel THING while they were taking them out, yes I was very very sore afterwards and could only do liquids/ice cream for several days!. Don't drink out a straw afterwards, the suction does some type of damage to the pockets where the teeth were taken out and makes them bleed worse!.

It is just an expensive procedure whether they are impacted or not, but the reason I had to have mine out was because they were impacted and were causing me horrific ear pain because they were trying to come it and couldn't!.

My dentist gave me good pain meds to take afterwards and they helped!.

It really won't be that bad and it will be worth it in the long run!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I opted to go to a sedation dentist!. I am a dental chicken and even the sound of a drill freaks me out!.

It was done almost two weeks ago and I had a long recovery period!. I had root canals that didn't bother me as much after the procedure!. I saw the dentist the other day and he concurred with my statement!. He had given me some nice pain meds but once they wore off, I felt groggy and unable to function, so I was living on Tylenol and Advil for the past week!.

Only now am I starting to feel a bit normal!. The hygenist suggested salt water rinses and that helped a lot!. I kept a bottle of salt water by the side of my sink and would take a slug or two each time I passed the kitchen sink and that seems to have made it more bearable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

oh my god it was terrible specially the first day,, i cried all day long, i removed the upper and lower on the same side at the same day, it required surgery, and it took about a week and half to totally recover (i could open me mouth properly and eat and speak normally again) hope yours will go wellWww@Answer-Health@Com

I had 3 impacted wisdoms!. The dentist put me under!. Your mouth is so sensitive you really cant do anything for a few days!. After a few days I found out my cheek was stitched up inside where he ripped my face apart!. Seems like it took forever to heal!. I got splinters for about 1!.5 years afterwards!. If I had to do it all again, I would do it!. But it wasnt pretty!. Hope your extraction goes well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had people tell me that it didn't hurt when they got there pulled but I was hurting pretty bad for about a week!. I didn't move from the couch and I bleed constantly and on top of that!.!.!.NO PAIN PILLS!.!.!.you better like salt water!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it does!. People will lie to you and say "Oh, it's not that bad!." But once the drugs wear off, it's pretty bad until you go to sleep!.
