What happens if you drink caffeine within 12 hours of sedation?!

Question: What happens if you drink caffeine within 12 hours of sedation!?

I'm going to be getting sedated tomorrow, for oral surgery, and I got a list of rules and one of them were not to drink caffeine within 12 hours of surgery and not to eat after midnight!.

Why's this!? I don't plan on doing either, I'm just curious why that would matter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well caffeine is a stimulant so it would work against the sedation and the reason they tell you not to eat is so that you don't choke on your vomit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
