You'll need to get your GPA higher!. Dental school is extremely competitive!. There are only so many in a class size, so many times, even 4!.0 students aren't accepted!. Dental school is a 4 year program after you have an undergraduate degree, usually in biology, chemistry, or biochemistry!.
The types of dentists besides a General practioner are specialists which require at least 2 more years after earning your DDS or DMD!. The specialists are:
Orthodontist (braces)
Endodontist (they do root canals)
Periodontist (they are gum specialists)
Pedodontist (specializes in kids)
Oral Surgeon (They are medical doctors AND dentists)
Prosthodontist (they do dentures mostly)Www@Answer-Health@Com
