Question: How can the feeling of a cavity be described!?
My friend doesn't know what it feels like to have a cavity, and I can't think of accurate ways to describe what it feels like!. "Zing" Is what my dentist said but I can't think of better ways to explain it!. Can you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Whenever I've had a cavity just starting in a tooth I've had pain when I eat sweet things!. I would kind of describe it like a stabbing, shooting pain, but it's very quick and then it's gone, kind of like an electric shock in the tooth or something like that!.

Personally, I think "zing" makes it sound pretty painless compared to what I've experienced - when I've had pain it's been really severe, but only for a few seconds then it fades away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just came back from the dentist today for cleaning and my dentist told me that I have a cavity and I never knew about it so I guess there nothing you feel when you have one!. I felt a little bit of pain though when he tried to show it to me while i'm holding a mirror since I also wanna see what it looks like, so anyways, I think the "zing" you feel might be when they start cleaning around it!. Ask your friend to go to the dentist before the cavity gets worst and it might be too late!. Goodluck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
