How long would a secondary abscess take to manifest its self elsewhere?!

Question: How long would a secondary abscess take to manifest its self elsewhere!?
I had a dental abscess 2 weeks ago and i took a course of penicillan the gum is still slightly red!.
I was quite poorly at the time and was sick and had a fever and cold sweats!. I am due to start root canal this week!.
since yesterday i have got a small red patch on my knee with abit of a bruise its quite sore and the my knee hurts, i can not recall banging my knee!.
I have heard of abscesses showing in other parts of the body after a dental abscess and was wondering what the chances are of something like this occuring, or has the infectious stage passed now!?
thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The red patch and bruise on your knee is probably caused by you bumping it!. If you are anything like me I don't notice a bump on my arm or leg if I'm busy, then wonder why bruises appear!.
I know dental abscesses are excruciating and am not surprised you dread another abscess, but the chances are remote that this is a secondary abscess especially after you took a course of penicillin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
