How can i convince my parents to let me get braces?!
Question: How can i convince my parents to let me get braces!?
When i was little i used to suck my thumb!. Now i have buck teeth!. I know it was my fault for sucking my thumb but i really need braces!. Its embarrassing to smile because of my teeth!. My brothers need them too, but my oldest brother's teeth came out good after years so he doesn't really need them!. But my younger brother is to young to get braces!. And im like at the right age (12) to get them!. My dentist said i need them!. And i WANT braces and my brothers dont so i think since i want them i should get them!. So how can i convince them to get me braces!? And how much do they cost

braces are expensive!. maybe your parents would rather spend 5000 on something else!. I'm 15 so i know how you feel!. i got my braces off about a year ago and i love my smile!. as long as you don't still suck your thumb and you are responsible i think you should get braces!. tell your parents that you want to have a gorgeous smile!. ask for braces for a christmas gift or birthday gift or both combined!. do something to raise money!. or offer to pay for a portion!. do u have dental insurance!? that covers a small portion!. although not much if you offer to help pay and bring up what dental insurance will cover then they may just go for it!. i know how you feel!. i got my braces when i was twelve as well!. and it was a great decision!. im so thankful to my parents for giving away money that could be spent on something else!. maybe your parents just cant afford it but if you try some of the things i listed u never know!. they may go for it!. good luck!. smile pretty!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Did you ever think they can't afford them!? Braces are expensive, and maintenance is even more costly!. I would talk to them about it and tell them you would really like to straighten your teeth!. You are at the correct age to make it much simpler, instead of waiting until you are older, and it is much more costly and painful!. Talk openly with them about the financial costs and ask them if you can help offset the costs by doing additional chores or babaysitting and giving them the money to go towards the cost!.
But go into the discussion maturely!. No whining, and no begging!. Don't tell them you WANT braces!. But go in with medical facts!. You are younger, so correcting your teeth now will be much simpler than waiting!. Ask them why they will not allow you to have them!. There may be more reasons than you think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just let them know how much it wouldf mean to you!.
Maybe show them some before and after photos of the difference it can make!.!. You can get those from most dental websites!. Braces are very expensive but its not an upfront payment, you can pay it off in small amounts each time you visit!. Maybe tell them this too!.

perhaps your parents would love to provide you with the bacres you need, but can not afford it!. braces are a monthly expense over a course of years!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Tell them that the kids at school make fun of you and if its too much money tell them you will work around the house and be kind and get good grades!!

braces are 2000$ for the top and 2000$ for the bottom but of course they can be $2500 each!.
than afterwards you have to pay about 200$dollars for a retainer after you get them off
you need to go to the dentist monthly to get the elastics tightened

My parents couldn't afford braces either but I had a really severe case of crouding and I was bullied at school often about it which made it even worse for my self confidence!. My mum and dad knew how much they were (about 8,000) sometimes even more but they kept going to dentists all around trying to get it cheaper with the checkups, I went to about 5 different dentists and they put me on the waiting list, Every year a couple of kids that have really severe cases get to get braces for a really low price from the give a smile foundation if you live in australia you can look it up!.
But ask about it and you'll get them cheaper!. I got my braces for 800 dollars!.

Well you cant convince them because you dont just go to the dentist and your parents say put braces on him!. It cost money that your parents might not have at the moment and if thats true asking them for braces is a bad thing because it makes them feel like crap because they cant afford things their children need!. Yes you might need braces but seriously who cares what people think about teeth!? no bodys perfect!. Also i am 13!. my dentist said i might need them and i asked when!? he said around 14 is the right age for braces so that might be another reason your parents wont let you yet!.
