Because it is difficult to tell whether you have bad breath, better to have a close friend or family member tell you before you embarrass yourself in front of strangers!.

I used to tell my brother all the time - we're both adults now and he still has a problem keeping his mouth minty fresh!. I don't tell him as much because it only pist him off, and never solved the problem!.
