Question: Has anyone ever had a needle in there front gum!?
Im going to the dentist tomorow!.!.and i have to get a filling in my front tooth!.!.:( is it sore getting a needle in the top of your mouth at the very front!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

it does hurt a little, less in the bottom of the mouth than the top!. They inject you under your tongue or at the base (front of mouth) below your teeth!.
feels like they are pushing it in about 3cm, even though it is only !.5cm probably!.

Yip,I've had 5 of them at one time, when I had my crowns done!.Unfortunately it's one of the worst injections to get in your mouth I think, and I'm really not bothered about shots in the mouth!.Your dentist will probably apply a sort of gel, that numbs up the area where he's going to inject, first!.if he doesn't then unfortunately you'll have to tough out the shot as is!.
It stings like hell, but the way I always prepare myself for these things (I've had extensive dental surgery done) is to think that the sting is only going to last a few seconds, and rather that, than having your mouth "live" when he starts drilling!.
You'll know you'll be fine if your nose and around the bottom parts of your cheeks starts feeling numb (more than one injection) or in case of a light dose, you'll feel a "tickly" sensation!. At any time, if you can feel the drilling, you just ask the dentist for another shot (you wont feel the second one)

This method is called infiltration!. It's a lot less painful than a mandibular block!. (where they anesthetize in the back corner of your your lower jaw) The only thing that is really painful is if you have a palatal injection (in the roof of your mouth on the inside of your teeth)!. some dentists can do this gently too though!. Just make sure they leave the "numby cream" on the q-tip on there for a full minute before he actually injects you!. Some dentist are in a hurry and don't do this but most good dentists will!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I later had 4 teeth out before having braces at which time they did numb my upper and lower gumbs, and that really didn't hurt at all!.
Anyway, it's very very unlikely they'll use that on you!. Trust me, having a filling is nothing to worry about!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

On tuesday i have 2 teeth removed 2 fillings and also my dentist sliced open my gum to remove an abcess that had spreaded to the bone!.
My mouth was completley numb and i did not feel a thing, even when he stitched it!
Your mouth should feel slighty numb afterwards but you will feel no pain!.! :

I have had it twice and the first time i cryed before the injection to see it the denist would feeel sorry for me and not give me the injection but he still did it and suprisingly it didnt hurt :D It was fine the 1st time and the 2nd time, dont worry about it :DWww@Answer-Health@Com

yes, don't be afraid, I've had 4 wisdom teeth extracted, and trust me when you get through getting your work done, you are going to be glad that they stuck you!.

I had a load of work done earlier this week!. she injected my upper gum at both sides about a dozen times!.

I had two!. It doesnt really hurt but you feel a lot of pressure in your nose!. Dont worry though it doesnt take long and there isnt pain!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
