Answers:
Hi, Orthognathic surgery is the surgical cutting and repositioning of the upper or lower jaw to achieve maximum esthetics and occlussion of the patients!.

The implication of this surgery in patients is really good if it is going to be performed by a good orthognathic surgeon,

After the surgery, the patient will have his upper and lower jaw fixed together(like splints in broken bones) to keep the jaw from moving and displacing the re-positioned bones so that the healing process will be at its best and the full contact of the bones will be achieved!.

IT is a bit difficult for the patients because they have to take osterized(liquefied) foods!. But recovery is really fast, especially in young patients!. Plus, you can resume your activities in six weeks ifecovery is really fast!. But in two weeks you can already have a few activities but are limited!.

If you have more questions, feel free to ask more :) Www@Answer-Health@Com
