Braces-what happens when you go back?!

Question: Braces-what happens when you go back!?
When you have braces and you have to go back every 6-8 weeks,do they give you new braces or check they're clean!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
They Adjust them, do not listen to ANYONE who says they "tighten" your braces, simple because they don't!.

It depends what kind of braces you have for example self-ligaturing or manual ligaturing!.

Both of these types of braces never get tightened!. They get adjusted!.

If you have the Metal or Ceramic Manual Ligaturing braces, that means they sometimes change the wire, but they remove the old elastics and insert new ones, because the elastics lose their elasticity!.

Now the self ligaturing ones, that don't require any elastics its just the bracket and the wire!.

Im assuming you have the Manual Ligaturing ones, so here is aprox
how your appt will go down!.

1!. They call you into the dental chair
2!. They ask you how you dealt with the pain and if there was any!.
3!. They ask you to choose a color, or multiple colors for your braces!.
4!. If you have had your wire in for longer than 3-4 visits they're is a good chance their going to change the wire!.
5!.They remove the old elastics, and discard them!.
6!. They change the wire if necessary
7!. They attach the newly selected elastics!.
8!. If they don't offer to give you wax, ask for some!.
9!. Voila, your done and that is going to basically happen until you ger
your braces off!.

I really hoped I helped!. My mom and dad are both dental professionals!. And I know EVERYTHING about dental stuff!.

The orthodontist will check if the teeth and the brackets are clean!.

Orthodontists DO NOT TIGHTEN the braces, the ones tightened are the "lace backs" (the ligature wires tied in between the brackets of the canine up to the molars to control the movement of the canina and prevent unwanted movements)

Then check the movements of the teeth if they are on track and according to the treatment plan, then, they will replace the elastics that hold the wire against the braces, then change wires if it is needed!.

Then, they are going to give you a new set of instruction if you are going to the next level of treatment!.

there are three major parts of otho treatment:

1!. Level and alignment
2!. Torque and angulation correction
3 Detailing and Finishing

:) hope I have helped youWww@Answer-Health@Com

Tighten wires, add or move rubber bands, make sure you're keeping them clean, and also make sure that they're doing the job they're intended to do, which is move your teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

depends on what type of brace they are and the job they are performing!. usually they will need to be tightened or pushed out in order to for the teeth to do the same!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well I have invisalign and all my dentist does is have a look to see that the teeth are going where they are supposed to go and then gives me my next 4 sets of aligners!. Am in and out in 10mins!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

they just titghten the wires,
