Tooth pulled and it's still bleeding?!


Question: Tooth pulled and it's still bleeding!?
Okay so today at 1:00pm i had a molar (19) pulled it is now 6:00pm and the bleeding has not slowed down any!. It hurts really bad they gave me percocet for the pain but I'm afraid to take while I'm still bleeding!. Is it normal that I'm still bleeding this long after!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

put gauze in your mouth (they should have given some to you) Just take the meds!. it will make u feel a LOT better!. but if it doesnt stop before u go to bed, call the dentist and check with him/her!?!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it's normal to have some bleeding,but it shuold have slowed by now!. Take your pain meds, or if you don't want that strong of a med, try ibuprofen!., then pack some cotton over the bleeding area; change the cotton every 3-4 hours, or as it gets full!. If it's still bleeding heavily in the AM, call your dentist!. I've also heard tea bags help with bleeding!.
