Question: If my teeth get whiter with braces, will I have little squares from where the brackets were !?
I have braces, obviously!. I've noticed my teeth are getting a little whiter because of my toothpaste, I guess!. So now I want to try and get them whiter intentionally!. But if my teeth get whiter, are there going to be little squares from where the brackets were!? Like, my teeth will be white, then a little yellow square where the bracket was !?
Sounds stupid, I know!. But seriously!.
And if it WON'T make little marks from the brackets, what else can I do to get whiter teeth with braces!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You shouldn't whiten your teeth while you have braces on!. Yes, there will be little yellow spots under the brackets, b/c the whitener can not get under there!. Using a whitening toothpaste is fine, it should not be noticeable!.
If your teeth are only getting whiter right around the edges of the brackets or around you gum line, then that is a problem!. It means you teeth are demineralizing, because you are not brushing well!. This white, chalky area is the beginning of a cavity!. It will start turning brown if you do not brush better!.

There will be little squares of discoloration!.!.!. and usually you should try and do the same thing you were when you didnt have braces, so you don't come off with the same squares and just wait till you get your braces off so that you can work on whitening all your teeth at the same whiteness level
it also works the same way, if you had braces and didnt brush your teeth, you will have little white squares and the rest yellow!.!.!. it happened to my friend!.!.!.

possibly not because you are not getting sugary things underneath your braces as you are when you are eating things, but equally, you are brushing your teeth: surely this would make it balanced!?
To get teeth whiter:
Don't drink citrus fruit drinks for at least an hour and a half after you have just brushed them because they will still be weak!.

ive thought about that too
so i asked my orthodontist
he said that right before they but the brackets on they polish your teeth really well and when they put the bracket on top the square behind it stays white because nothing gets to it because it is under the bracket
so i guess its your job to keep the rest of the area on your teeth white because that little square under the bracket will be fine

I was worried about this same thing when i had braces, but when i got them off it was fine!. Anyways you have a lot of glue holding on the brackets and when you get your braces off the orthodontist cleans off the glue, which will also clean off that part of your tooth!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
nahh!. i got mine off and they were beautiful!. just brush and floss and use mouth wash while u have braces and u'll be fine!. and when u get em off, to keep em super white, keep doing the brush, floss, mouthwash routine and use Crest Whitening Strips!. they r really good!. i personally use crest and it works really good!. so do all tht and ur fineWww@Answer-Health@Com
Yeah, you'd get little squares underneath!. I recently got my braces off, and here's what i did about that:

well my friend has braces and when she got them off the part where the brackets were were white and the rest was yellow! but what u can do is brush ur teeth with baking soda alot! thats what i do and my teeth look like shiny pearls hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well the part of your tooth that is under the bracket will not be getting whiter so if your teeth get too white there will be noticeable squares when your braces come off!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

what a coincidence, i just got my braces off 2 days ago, and no the dont leave marks, the just have glue and there gonna remove it, and also some dentists clean them 4 u wich makes them white(:Www@Answer-Health@Com
im a dental assistant you may have a little bit of color diffrence when your braces come off do not whiten your teeth wait until your braces are off the do any type of whitening!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
