Do i have to wear orthodontic elastics during school?!
Question: Do i have to wear orthodontic elastics during school!?
I'm wearing braces to straighten my teeth!. Now i have an over-bite and i need to wear elastics (from hook to hook)

Like the pics above!. To move my jaw so that my bite is corrected!.
The denist told me to just take the elastics off when i eat!. So i'm wondering, do I NEED to wear the elastics during schooltime!? It's because with the elastics on, i can hardly open my mouth and it's VERY difficult to talk!.
So should i just wear them at home!? How long does it take to correct my overbite if it's not that bad!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i wore mine through school and trust me u should!. after a while u wont even notice them any more cause theres no more pain!. yea at first u cant talk but ur mouth will get used to it so its pretty much un noticeable!. i got mine off in 3 months (quick)!. so now im ahead of schedule and i had my braces since october of 07 and i get them off in march!. while my friend didnt wear elastics and he is really behind!. o yea the reason u wear ur elastics is so ur teeth move back to fix ur bite!. if u dont wear them ur teeth will move forward so ull have a chimp mouth!. hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com
