Can children have capped teeth?!


Question: Can children have capped teeth!?
My 7 year old daughter has fallen today and broken the bottom off both of her front teeth which are her second lot!.
Does anyone know what can be done , do dentists cap teeth at this age and what is the procedure if they do!.
She is very concerned about how they look and feelWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, children can have their teeth capped!. Usually they are numbed up with novocaine, and the natural tooth is sanded down so that a cap can fit on top of it correctly!. An impression is done of the tooth to determine what size, etc!. the cap needs to be, and then a temporary cap is placed on, while the exact, permanent cap is made!. Once it is made, the child returns to the dentist, and the new, permanent cap is placed on!.:)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should not cap a child's tooth, because there is still so much growing to do!. Usually bonding is enoughWww@Answer-Health@Com
