I have had a swollen sore throat about a week now!. But, I also noticed my upper left wisdom tooth area (I don't have my wisdom teeth yet) is tender and sore!. I've been convinced a few times that my wisdom teeth are finally growing in but then the tenderness/pain goes away and nothing happens!.!.!. Currently I'm living away from my home town (and dentist) and so I don't really want to fly back for a dental appointment if it's nothing! Any help would be appreciated!

It is possible that your wisdom tooth is coming in!. What is happening is that your tooth may be partially impacted, which means that it can't erupt through the gums!. This is why the pain sometimes goes away!. The tooth may be infected and that can cause your sore throat as well!. Rinse your mouth with warm salt water to irrigate the area!. You should see a dentist, but maybe your dentist has someone he knows in your area that he can recommend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Look for a dentist in your area that takes new patients!. It definitely sounds like your WT!. The only cure is to deal with it or go to have them extract the tooth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
