What hurts more a tooth extraction or a filling?!

Question: What hurts more a tooth extraction or a filling!?
During Spring Time I was at the dentist and they told me I would need a few fillings!.!.!.well then I moved too Brentwood California from Canada and never got around too it!. Then starting about a month ago my teeth started hurting on the right hand side of my mouth, it would hurt for a couple days then after brushing my teeth a lot and taking asprin ETC it was gone, then a couple weeks later the same thing again, then gone, now its back and I had a dentist appointment for January 5th but I cancelled it today and have being looking around for a sooner date!. I found one about 25 min ago and they said they could take me at 4:00 p!.m today!. So I am kinda nervous and don't know if they will extract it or fill it (or them) I hope they will fill it!.!.!.but never had a filling before and am scared about the pain!. If anyone has had a tooth extraction and filling before could you tell me what hurt more! Thank you very much!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
the tooth being pulled is possibly the only answer if you have an abcessed tooth!. which is what it sounds like, get orajel!.or the dentist will probably give you an antibiotic, TAKE IT, and then when the possible infection is gone, he may pull it or fill it!. try to save the tooth if at all possibleWww@Answer-Health@Com

If they get you numb properly neither should hurt!. If your tooth has been sensitive, after a filling it will continue to be sensitive for a few days!.!.!.that's normal!.!.!.then it will get better!. If the sensitivity lasts after the stimulus is removed, then you'll need either extraction or root canal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the tooth extraction will hurt more, but they will give you Novocaine to deal with the pain( the result will be a swore, possible swollen mouth for a few days) , a filling is painless, but tooth decay is very painful, trust me going to the dentist is much better then putting up with tooth decay!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Filling - no sweat - a little sore from novocaine injection and numb for a couple hours!. After that, no problem!.

An extraction is way worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't feel the extraction or filling!. What you will feel is the shots you get which are kind of uncomfortable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

filling is way less painfulWww@Answer-Health@Com
