How fast should a cleaning be?!

Question: How fast should a cleaning be!?
I got a cleaning today by a supposed oral hygienist, who proceeded to poke and pull around my gum area with a dental scaler, and from there went right to polishing my teeth!. I am sorry but when I looked in the mirror I saw that she really didnt do much, and my plaque or tartar, was not really removed, I feel ripped off!. I mean really I could have done this for myself at home, I paid for a cleaning because I wanted someone with knowledge to remove the deposits on my teeth, because only they would know the appropriate pressure to use so as not to damage the enamel!. But it seems all I got was an expensive floss job with some mystery polish!. Has anyone else felt jipped under these same circumstances!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You did get jipped!. A good cleaning is 2 seperate appointments, getting injected with an anesthetic, and a scaler is used to remove all the calculus on one side of your mouth, then the other on the next appt!. You need to call and demand your money back or the proper treatment!. I would switch offices if I were you!. How shady!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The cleaning does not really make your teeth look clean all the time, if that makes sense!.!.!. (lol)

The scaler is to get under the gums!.!.!.!. You should always tell the person who is doing a service for you that you are not satisfied the same time they finish it!!

Sorry that happened!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
