Are mouth ulcers painful all the time or they hurt only when they are disturbed?!

I've been getting mouth ulcers as long as I can remember, from my experience only when you disturb them, I use a small liquid application called Anbesol, it numbs the area and also helps speed up healing, and from what I read over the years, they have no proof what causes them, it can be stress, accidental biting, flu, it could be anything, I personally believe its genetic due to my father and sister having them, but not my mother!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
