Question: I need help i have a question about braces!?
Ok I'm 12 and I just got back from the dentist!. Since I have all my permanent teeth the dentist said that I would need braces because i probably have a class 1 or 2 over jet!. Getting on to the point I just want to know that if the dentist refers you to the orthodontist how likely is it that i would not need any treatment whatsoever!. And if I do need treatment what do you think I would need for a class 1 or 2 over jet " Braces or a retainer!." It would be helpful to hear from people who have the same type of diagnosis as I do!. But other than that any serious or reasonable question is welcome!. Thanks again and by the way I am a boy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I'm 13 and the doctor said the same thing to me last year!. I wen to the orthodontist and now I need braces for 3 years! And they hurt your tongue when they put those things deep into your teeth!. My advice is to wait some time and see if it worsens even a bit or stays the same!. If you have any gaps in your teeth, you NEED braces!.

I don't understand the whole Class One or Two but I will tell you that if you have an overbite or you have some teeth that are crooked than you have a pretty high chance of having braces!. I had a very small overbite and my jaws were uneven so I had to get braces!. So it just all depends on how bad of a condition you may have, but if you dentist has recommend you to a orthodontist than you are more than likely going to have to get them!. I will not lie to you they hurt for the 1st week, but some people are different!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
if you need treatment for your teeth the will probably give you a retainer at first and if the don't see any improvement the will move you to braces!.

Well i had a serious overbite as well as a cross bite and my dentist sent me to the ortho and he said i needed braces!.!.!.!.i was so bummed about it I didnt even pay attention to any of the medical slang he was throwing at me!. Sorry i couldnt be of more helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

u will probably need braces for the first couple of days of having braces ur teeth will be sore!. It will take a while for ur teeth to get use to them!. but in the end it is worth it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
