Question: Question about my braces !?
I have had my braces on Since August 25th, 2008!. I will have to have them on for the next couple years!. Lately i have been noticing when i sleep i have been biting my tongue!. Is that normal!? I have been wearing white bands to pull teeth over and down!. Because even when i am awake my back teeth bite down on my tongue and it's getting irritating!. Is it normal!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, since your teeth are moving your tongue is "confused" at their new placement!. The places you used to regularly keep your tongue in sleep now might have teeth in them so you subconsciously bite down!. Your teeth should get used to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I got mine in March 2008 and I know what you mean!. At different points in my treatment, I am biting and hurting different parts of my mouth!. I was having a problem similar to yours and I asked my ortho about it; he gave me a sort of mouthguard to wear at night that would fit over my braces so I wouldn't bite myself!. See if you can get one of those!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
