My cavity smells like... well... poop?!
Question: My cavity smells like!.!.!. well!.!.!. poop!?
Okay, I've had this cavity filled, but the filling came out months ago!. I'm going to go to the dentist within a week!. BUT, i think a bunch of food got caught in my cavity, and made it smell really bad!. like!.!.!. someone pooped right in the hole in my tooth!. it's gross, but it isn't very detective!.
anyways, i figured this out, because i had something stuck in my cavity, and i started sucking it with my tongue to try and get it out, and a really bad taste came in my mouth!. then i breathed into my hand to smell my breath, and it smelled like poop!. it only smells like that if i suck on the cavity, though!.
do you think the food got rotten in my cavity!? because i picked some stuff out of it, assuming it was food!. and it smelled terrible!.
or, is that just the way all cavities smell!?
should i get this tooth pulled when i go to the dentist!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

there are millions of bacteria in your mouth!.!. think of them as little people!.!.!. when this bacteria gets into your cavity they eat away at it!.!. and when we eat we poop!.!.!.well, so do bacteria!.!.!. don't get the tooth pulled!.!. unless of course the dentist recommends it!.!.!. but do get it taken care of ASAP! it is normal for a cavity to have a bad odor!.!. another reason may be an abscess!.!.!. which will require root canal!.!.and by the way it is not as bad as you might think!! good luck!!

The cavity smells bad because bacteria rots food that is trapped there!. Even if no food were there, bacteria would feed off the sugar in your mouth and eventually smell!. Try rinsing with hydrogen peroxide (3% solution)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
no don't get the tooth pulled unless the dentist recomends it! it was just food, it's going to smell because its old food just make sure u brush well and have the dentist refill the tooth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Its because of bacteria and the rotten food that got trapped!. You should go to the dentist as soon as possible to get that filling filled again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
