Wisdom teeth pain gets much worse at night. Is there a reason?!

Question: Wisdom teeth pain gets much worse at night!. Is there a reason!?
I had a wisdom tooth taken out 5 days ago!. It was done at a local dentist office, because he felt it would not be to big of a deal!. It took about an hour and fifteen minutes to remove!.

Anyways, now the pain is decreasing every day!. However, at night time I wake up in terrible pain!. I do not know what the cause of it is!?

I sleep with my mouth open alot, is it possible that it is irritating it!?

I just figured after 5 days the pain I felt last night would be gone!. Any suggestions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
my brother just had his taken out like 4 days ago i think he had the same problem
its nothin bad its just when you sleep you lay flat and the pressure goes towards you mouth at night and maybe the blood rushes to your teeth as well
i dont think its a big deal it will go away eventually just take whatever u need to tak (advil, vicodin etc) before bed and you will be fine in a couple more daysWww@Answer-Health@Com

take a pain pill or over the counter pain reliever before you go to sleep, and prop your head up on a few pillows!. don't lie flat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just had 4 wisdom teeth taken out so I feel your pain! It's probably because your pain meds wear off at nighttime so you feel the pain more and it wakes you up!. Just take another pain med and get back to sleep! That's what I did :)

And keep your head prop so you don't get swollenWww@Answer-Health@Com
