Question: I am so scared about getting spacers tomorrow!!?
Does it hurt!? What can you eat and what can you not!? Should I take ibuprofen before the appointment!?
I also have another question has anyone ever heard of a pill you have to take before you get your braces on to reduce you siliva!? Because I have to take one before I get my braces on in 1 week!. If so does it make your mouth really dry!? THANKS!~~~~~~~~Www@Answer-Health@Com

Spacers barely hurt, you will be fine!. It might be a little pressure and a little gum pain but it is no big deal!. Take either an Advil, Motrin, or Tylenol before your appointment!. This way the painkiller will already be effecting after the spacers!. With spacers you can pretty much eat anything but popcorn, and gum!. But if you are sore try apple sauce, yogurt, or pudding!. - Also I have taken the pill that makes your mouth dry but don't worry it just reduces your saliva production slightly, nothing major so don't worry!. Spacers do hurt a bit, but just take some pills, advil or tylenol!.!.!.
I wouldn't eat anything that was crunchy, only soft foods, soup, yogurt, etc!.!.!.
As for the saliva thing, I have never heard of that!.!.!.I didn't have to take it, that's why they have the vaccumming thingy, to "vaccum" your saliva out while you're having a procedure done ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com
