Is it rude to eat before a dental appointment?!

Question: Is it rude to eat before a dental appointment!?
I haven't had breakfast or lunch yet, and I'm starving!. My appointment is a couple of hours away, and I need something or I'm going to fall over!.

Should I just wait, or is it ok to eat something beforehand!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
When you eat, you get food stuck in your teeth and gums, etc!. If you brush after you eat, then you're fine!. But, you should not eat a meal before an appointment unless you brush your teeth afterward!. It's not as if the dentist will yell at you and force you out of his office, but it does make his job harder since he has to determine if what he's looking at is a cavity, or part of a popcorn kernel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go ahead and eat or drink coffee but ask for mouth wash when you get there!. And rinse several times with mouthwash or water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The dentist's office will have extra toothbrushes and toothpaste that you can use!. Just ask when you get there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is unhealthy to go all day without eating just brush and floss when you are through!. If you can't ask the dentist (hygenist) to let you brush before he begins!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
