Tooth problem - Root Canal?!

Question: Tooth problem - Root Canal!?
Morning all, last august my dentist started root canal treatment, i didn't go back for the last lot of treatment due to being too scared really, luckily the hole in the back of my tooth had a temp cover over it whilst i was on antibiotics to get rid of the abscess, now that cover has come away and i have a hole open now, how vital is it that i go back and get treatment, im not in any pain with it right now but am i bound to be sooner or later, plus is it possible the abscess will return!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

you really, REALLY need to go back!. I can't believe it has lasted you this long without cracking (the roots that is)!. Once this happens you will have to have them pulled out and then you will need to decide what you will do implant or bridge (if you can at all)!. which is very expensive!. if you can save that tooth by all means save it, the hard part is over, and the last thing you have to worry about right now is the abscess returning!.!.!. you need to worry about breaking those roots, b/c if that happens you can't save the tooth at all!Www@Answer-Health@Com

This area is now open to infection and will most certainly cause you problems!. You need to get back to the dentist and explain your fear - however, I do understand how you feel - I have an irrational fear of the dentist too and am putting off having a crown redone because of that problem!. Psych yourself up by thinking that within an hour your problem will be over and considering how much grief this situation will be giving you soon, one hour of trauma isn't the end of the world!. (If I say it often enough, I'll believe it myself too!!) Good luck - I understand your fear!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is really important you go back and have the last stage of RCT done!. Your tooth canal is exposed and this means all kinds of bateria can get in!. You are not experiencing any pain as at the 1st stage of RCT medication was placed into the chamber of your tooth to kill of the bacteria inside!. If you do not have the treatment then in time you will have to have the tooth extracted!.

Hope this helpsxWww@Answer-Health@Com

You need to go back as soon as possible!. The crown protects the exposed portion of your tooth since the enamel is gone!. Without the crown, your tooth will rot!. I had my first root canal a few years ago, and getting the crown on is a piece of cake!. The hard part is the part you have already endured!. Go back, I assure you that unless you have done more damage to your tooth by not going back already, there is nothing to worry about at this point except not going!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
