Question: Teeth grinding and mouthguard!.!?
Hello!.
I have problems with teeth grinding during the night-time, when I'm sleeping!. Each morning when I wake up my teeth hurt as hell!. Now I know I have problems with teeth grinding and there is really no way to get rid of it, but mouthguards help to minimalise the damage to teeth!. I checked the prices of those special mouthguards they make at the dentist's and they are fricken expensive, so I was wondering if I can use one of them sports mouthguards!? It's the one were u have the paste-like thingie + a mouthguard, and then you put the paste in this mouthguard and then you put it in your mouth and when u take em out u should have ur own personal matching mouthguard!.
Does anyone know, who has any experience, or whateva!? Will it work or do I really need that hell-expensive mouthguard from the denist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The problem with over-the-counter mouth guards and substitutes that people might use instead of a specially-fitted one from their dentist (like sports mouth guards, pieces of gauze, etc!.) is that because they are not specially fitted for the wearer's mouth, there is a choking risk!. Also, hard plastic mouth guards can also be risky because you might just end up grinding your teeth against that instead, which won't help much with the pain in your mouth in the morning!.
I say, just save up and spring for a specialized mouth guard from the dentist!. It's a lot more money but it will last you longer, and it'll be more comfortable and overall more useful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
