ORTHO Q: Ridges on back of front teeth?!

Question: ORTHO Q: Ridges on back of front teeth!?
i had an ortho appointment a few days ago and my orthodontist was talking about how he might need to smooth the ridges on the back of my front teeth to make room!. He said that your top front teeth have larger ridges than your bottom ones, but my top ridges were pretty big, so he's gonna smooth them down!.

WHAT RIDGES WAS HE TALKING ABOUT!?
and how exactly would he smooth them!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Some people have really prominent anatomy of their teeth!. The ridges on the inside of your teeth are very pronounced and since your getting ortho treatment they will become more susceptible to getting decayed!. He will smooth them out with a drill!. Its called enameloplasty!. It does not hurt because there are no nerve endings in the outer layer of teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
